What is Bioremodelling?
This is a new class of treatment (2023) with the concept that the treatment causes remodelling and formation of the skin collagen under the skin.
How is this performed?
The treatment involves direct placement of bioremodelling material under the skin, usually with a 10 point injection technique (that can be modified according to need) across the cheeks, jaw and chin area.
Some practitioners also treat neck and other areas.
How many sessions do I require?
We generally recommend 2 sessions, 1 month apart to start with, and follow this up every 6-12 months thereafter.
Is treatment painful?
This generally does not require topical anaesthesia, although some patients do find this helpful and may request for this. The actual treatment is performed usually under 10 minutes.
Is there any downtime?
Mild swelling is seen immediately after the treatment, and this would resolve within a day or so. Almost all patients return to work or social activities the next day.
Is this safe?
All cosmetic therapies carry inherent risk. This particular class of treatment is known to be one of the safest treatments to undergo as the placement of material is in the superficial layer of the skin.
Is this a safe treatment for Asian or darker skin?
Yes this is safe for all skin colour types – being darker skin does not confer any additional risk.
What is the cost of treatment?
We do not publish the cost of treatment online. This is in the ballpark figure similar to other skin booster or polynucleotide injection.
